Erin, a self proclaimed program'her', was caught red-handed and red-faced last week after loitering in her favourite local coffee shop for over a week straight. Erin was just kicked out of her boyfriend's apartment and had a looming project deadline. "Before I knew it, I had been in there for like a week." Reportedly, Erin only purchased one small coffee. "I would go to the bathroom sink, fill my cup up with water, and return to work for another two hours". Wet-wipe "showers" were a daily necessity.
"It was quite the spectacle, there were journalists, news crews, and bloggers live tweeting the event", a local cafe owner recalls. Jill Bean, co-owner of Jack and the Coffee Bean Stalk, was dumbfounded when she learned that a patron of her coffee shop had set up camp for over a week. Jill speculates that Erin must have had keys or access to the storage room in the evenings when we were closed.
Co-working etiquette would suggest one coffee per hour, this means that Erin broke the rule 177 times. Coworkers, make sure you treat your cafe workplaces with respect!
